Fly-Lite #003 - Making Moves on Rain Fly Prototypes By Mentally Refreshing My Mind
Life has been a little crazy in the Sierra Madre Research world lately - after Christmas Juli and I drove to Mexico on a whim to climb a few large rocks. Climb we did! It was a mentally refreshing trip for us, running a small business can become very suffocating if you let it. Being out in the wild and breathing in the vastness of new perspective can really do wonders for your soul. While on the trip Juli and I hambunked it up in the Nubé hammock shelter (of course) and enjoyed the warmth of protection from the Winter Barrier as the nights plummeted into the 30's. We camped in the Potrero Chico valley for 8 nights and enjoyed the down pours as we rocked in our hammocks to a deep slumber each night. More on this crazy trip at a later date in the Madre Chronicles section!
I am prepping to head back down south to our manufacturing facility SMr ILLUMINATE in Nicaragua, where I'll be doing some rapid prototyping on the Fly-Lite, an ultralight hammock (new), and a hammock / mosquito combo (new). It's going to be a crazy 4 weeks and I'll be posting pics of our progress here, so be sure and check in! Heck I may even bring back some prototypes to send out to a few of you guys - get a little firsthand feedback.
For now here are a few pics from our Mexico trip, enjoy!
